2025 PIAA Girls SE Regional Championship
/On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Quakertown High School was the the setting for the Girls South East Regionals, where Downingtown West's Sarah Pearson achieved a remarkable milestone by clinching her first Regional title. Sarah showcased her exceptional skills and determination throughout the tournament. In the quarterfinals, she faced Gabrielle Costa from Coatesville and secured victory with a decisive fall at just 1:25 into the match. Advancing to the semifinals, Sarah continued her performance, overcoming Avon Grove with another fall, this time taking 4:31 to seal her victory. The excitement peaked in the 1st Place Match, where she faced Raylyn Schwoyer from Owen J. Roberts. With a relentless drive, Sarah triumphed once again, finishing the match with a fall at 2:56. This achievement guaranteed her a spot in the prestigious PIAA States in Hershey. To add to the day's significance, Sarah celebrated her 16th birthday surrounded by the support of her family, friends, and coaches, making the day a memorable milestone in her wrestling journey.
