2024 Marine Corps National Championship- Fargo
/When it comes to Nationals in Fargo, it’s important to note that every state in the country sends their top competitors for each weight class and division. Qualifying and participating in this event is a significant achievement that many overlook. Wrestlers not only push themselves to compete at the highest level but also commit to training during their summer break, making progress and never regressing. Each wrestler’s journey and goals at Fargo are unique, but they all strive challenge themselves against the best wrestlers in the nation.
Pennsylvania further solidified its reputation as the most competitive wrestling state by securing victories in 3 of the 4 Freestyle divisions: Womens 16U, Boys Junior & Boys 16u (Greco is still competing, we will update). Way to go, Pennsylvania USA Wrestling! Thank you for supporting our wrestlers to ensure they are able to compete at the highest level.
At Downingtown West Wrestling, we proudly sent seven athletes and two of our coaches to Fargo, and we commend each one for their dedication to the event. We appreciate everyone who supported our wrestlers financially, during training, and cheered them on throughout the process. Thank you to our coaches to who dedicate so much of the season to our wrestlers. They all showcased incredible determination in challenging brackets with up to 256 wrestlers while representing Pennsylvania’s National Team hitting some personal wins along the way.

Stepping into the FargoDome with its 30 mats, over 280 referees, and thousands of wrestlers and coaches is an unforgettable experience. Each one of these wrestlers leveled up this summer, we are so eager to see what the Folkstyle season holds for them. Competing in such a renowned venue will surely be a memory they’ll cherish forever.
